Assignment:  2010 Planning

       Steps:

1. Find a quiet place where you can have some alone time and do a bit of writing -    

        get out some paper and a pen.


2. Make a list of five things that brought you happiness during the past year. 


3. Make a wish list of 10 things you desire to do or achieve in 2010.  Start by writing the following headings down the left side of a blank page leaving a space under each so you can write under them:
Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Emotional and Financial.  Place two goals under each of the five headings. 


4. From your list in step 3, pick the five top things you desire to do or achieve in 2010 and number them from 1 to 5 in order of importance to you.

 
5. List one or two things beside each goal on your Wish List.  to show what you will do to achieve that goal or desire during this year.  You will have up to ten goals now although your can have as few as five with one under each heading if you like.  You have numbered the top five in order of importance in your life so that you will know what to focus on first in life.


6. The idea behind this is that you are beginning to get used to dividing your life up under the five categories and are setting some goals under each area.  You will learn more about each area of balance in my E-book entitled: "Zero To Sixty" which you can download for Free on my website for a limited time.  http://www.LifeBalanceClub.com

 
7. Next you can schedule these ten things on a calendar to show when you intend to complete a particular item.  this is best done on a large calendar with squares for each of the days so you have a space to write in your goals. 

For example, you have ten goals and goal number 2 under Emotional - you feel you can accomplish by the end of April 2010 and so you write that on the calendar and you can put that date to the right of the item on your summarized Wish List of goals.  This helps you to focus and achieve your goals.  Putting a time frame on the goal really helps to make it happen.
            

Once all of your goals are posted and you have dates to the right of each on your summarized Wish List, it will look something like this:


SPIRITUAL

Goal # 1 - (write it in here) March 1st

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:

Goal #2 - (write it in here)  March 15th

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:


MENTAL

 Goal # 1 - (write it in here) April 30th

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:

Goal #2 - (write it in here)  Feb. 14th

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:


PHYSICAL 

Goal # 1 - (write it in here) November 30th

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:

Goal #2 - (write it in here)   Estimated date

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:


EMOTIONAL

Goal # 1 - (write it in here) Estimated date by which you can achieve the goal.

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:

Goal #2 - (write it in here)   Estimated date:  April 30th

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:


FINANCIAL

Goal # 1 - (write it in here) Estimated date

Activities I can do to achieve the goal:

Goal #2 - (write it in here)   Estimated date

8. Now, you have the beginnings of a Plan of Action.  You will be able to refine this and Create your Story of Success.  You might like to place the large calendar where you can see it.  It might not be good to share this with others unless they are truly on your side.  Most often, others will not share the same dream as you; although a good spouse often will.

Just for fun...Write out your commitment to your Plan of Action using the following sentence and fill in the blanks.
