  • June 12, 2010    Your Trump Card‏
Some of you have not heard much from me in a while. Life has it's challenges to be sure and as with so many, it has been raining on my party for a while. At this stage in life I realize that there are two of me. The real me and the physical self. So, I can say that I am very well and my body is trying to catch up with me.

Well, the point is and I know this will affect everyone of you - if not today, then sooner or later. At that time, you can play this card and it will help you a great deal. Just tuck it away until you need it or better yet, invest in it and make it stronger and stronger in your life.

The Trump card has nothing to do with Donald Trump. Have you taken the time to read Napoleon Hill's book, Think & Grow Rich? This amazing book talks of many things and they are not necessarily related at all to money. It was first published in 1937.

The thing you already have and can multiply in your life is 'Mind Power'. It is mind over matter; it is the exercise of faith and a confident knowing that you can do it; you can rise above your present challenge or any challenge, God willing. It may not be strong right now, but like a low burning fire or even if just hot coals, it can be rekindled and roar if attended to.

Once again, my life has been spared and for how long is not mine to know; could be many years? I realize that if it is up to me, then I must learn to do more to strengthen my mind and my faith. I like the idea of prayer and study in this effort and I shall share another approach which Napoleon taught. You might want to try it. I quote for your benefit and learning.

"Faith is a state of mind which you may develop at will ...because it is a state of mind which develops voluntarily, through application and use of these principles. Repetition of affirmation of orders to your subconscious mind is the only known method of voluntary development of the emotion of faith."

Yes, times are tough out there and will be for a while but, understanding these principles of truth will see you through. I plan to write more so that you can enjoy the benefits and prosper in spite of what appears to be a bad situation. Within this situation there is opportunity as usual for the wise and the educated to prosper anyway. May, God bless you. I shall send more next week and hopefully you will begin to apply these principles.

Mothers Day is... 'All Women's Day'

Mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, grandmas, sweethearts, great

grandmothers, all Women.

Oh, the memories.   Coming home to the delicious smells of something Mom was cooking.  A place of refuge from the storm.   Caring for the pets that we had promised to care for, making sure we had clothing to wear and that it was clean and presentable.  Sewing, knitting, darning, cleaning, organizing, beautifying.   While we played, she labored.  While we slept, she watched over us.  When we were mischievous, she corrected us.  She drove us to our activities and watched over us to keep us safe.  She taught us, she loved us.   She was there for us.

As children, we tend to get caught up early in the many activities of the day.  Funny thing, that life we live...priorities. running to and fro while mother slaves in the kitchen and in the home and in the family.  Can you see how our lives mirror our childhoods?   Some have not had so great a privilege of having a mom at home but, remember the positive experiences of girls and women in our lives and the kind and charitable manner with which we have often been treated and at those times, we had a mom too.  Moms come in every shape and size and various colors and of varying beliefs.  Some are tall and some are not tall.  All of them have hearts.

Of course, mother taught us to work and to pray and to be responsible and that there were consequences.    She was many things to us.  Remember the good things in life and appreciate the moms who have made this possible.

Each of us have had other moms beside the first one.  It is like the concept of being a parent to any child, if but for a moment here and there.  We may help any child in need and when we do, we are a mom or dad to them for the moment just as we are a friend to them.  In a way, it is the same thing.  It comes from the heart and the heart of a women is amazing and well worth caring for.  Be honest with yourself for a moment and consider how blessed we all are because of mothers.  Each of us is a child.  Mothers bless our lives and each others' lives too.  Is that great or really great?

Even the earth is like a mother to us and when we think of something which sustains our lives, we call that, mother.  When we neglect mother earth, it becomes less able to meet our needs.  We need to care for her and to put something back.  Like mother earth, we need to put something back into the lives of all women.   Let's get back to holding the doors for them and showing the tenderness and care and love that they deserve.  Let us show this kind of love and respect to all people just as our moms would have us do.  Then, the world and our personal worlds will become better places to live once more.

How wonderful mothers are and how completely indispensible.    We couldn't live without them.  Love them and care for them and bless their lives and you will be happier for it.  How great is that?  It is up to me, it is up to you.   May God bless women everywhere.

How can you tell a mother when you meet one?  Mothers exhibit a tenderness and love that only a mother can exhibit and this includes every woman who chooses to be this way.  Women make the world what it is.  Can anyone even think of any great accomplishment in this world without the influence of women?  I cannot.

Men get the credit; yet, without women we would have chaos until we destroyed ourselves within one generation...period.

My heartfelt thank you to all women everywhere for making the world what it is.  For those who have had the privilege in this life to bring children here as well as all those who have mothered a child anywhere, be it their child of someone else's, thank you and may God bless you.  Remember, that all children belong to Him and being a mother, spouse, sister, companion, friend, lover, daughter, sweetheart, grandmother, or greater,  motherhood is a calling from the Almighty and the nature of women is to be tender hearted, caretakers of the rest of us.  So, they are all mothers as they choose to be so in their hearts.

Men and lads, sons and daughters everywhere, let us show our love now and forever to our sweet friends and benefactors who have made our lives possible and all that they are; our Mothers.  Happy Mother's Day,  All Women's Day.  Thank you.  God bless you.

It's not fair I tell you!

This morning as well as yesterday morning, I took a hike in the desert.  There, I enjoyed the numerous and varied flowers which are in bloom.   In fact, I went quite far out of my way to see one flower that someone told me about.   It was a bit disappointing to arrive at the spot to find no flower.   I suppose that it had taken me about an extra 20 minutes each way to discover that the flower was missing.

Along the way my friend and I gathered a handful of wild flowers for future and present enjoyment.  Sometimes in life we do not get the things that we had thought were just what we wanted and yet, with the disappointment comes so many wonderful surprises.  Like the flowers we found and picked (there are thousands out there by the way and if only one, we would not have picked it), we were well compensated for the efforts we put in.

Well, have you ever been disappointed in life?  Let's consider a small example.  Say you are in the mood for peas with your meal and instead, you receive French style green beans.  You are not familiar with this vegetable but, you know one thing for sure, it isn't peas and you don't like it.

Sometimes these situations result in a pleasant surprise of finding something that we come to really like that we might have otherwise not discovered.  If we find that we do not like the new vegetable, we at least had the experience and the beans provided us with variety and some nutrition.

Attitude is huge in this situation as with all aspects of life.  Choose to have a positive one and your life, like the wild flowers will begin to bloom.

In these challenging economic times, I think that most of us are feeling the pinch.  There are at least two things we can do that will help.

1. Take the time to enjoy the beauty and blessings around us.

2. Complete the little survey on the homepage of www.LifeBalanceClub.com to let me know that you are interested in a little secret that can help you to put money into your pockets again.

Whether or not you take action, I wish you well.  Naturally, taking action is not for everybody.  It's only for those who truly desire to make an improvement in their lives.  Life is not really fair, at least in the short run; but, it is good, and getting better.  Come join me.  Mike Dubeau
